Memories of Apple

Not Mac seperti sekarang.

At that time saya beli MBA saya pada tahun 2014, harga bawah RM 3k. Baru-baru ini ada rakan sepejabat ingin beli Macbook, saya recommend MBA seperti saya kerana harganya bawah RM 3k dan dia sangat excited untuk membeli MacBook, tiba-tiba selepas browse website Apple Malaysia, saya kena marah. Rupanya harga dah melambung tinggi, dah tak dapat dah komputer Mac under Rm 3k. Tak pasti kenapa, whether its because of higher specs ataupun strenghtening RM. Tapi tak dinafikan, masa saya beli MBA saya, the RM was stronger back then, sampaikan selamba badak boleh renew this .com for few years. At that time the price was around RM 30 per year.

I have never owned an iPhone, selalu berangan sahaja. Lagipun, all the apps that I needed was under Android, so might as well saya guna Samsung walaupun lately ni isu meletup Note 7 sedikit menyeramkan saya. One day, last year, I bought a second hand iPhone for a very cheap price from the owner. It was an iPhone lama, but still can be used. The reason owner jual is that she had already owned the latest iPhone and iPhone lama tu dah rosak home button and battery is not that good. So, I went to iFix to fix it, costs me around RM 200. One of the reason saya beli is sebab nak merasa how it is to use a iPhone and another reason is that one of my colleague had told me how convenient his life was by using iPhone and MBA where he can sync everything between those device (now he owns a HP notebook, which he uses almost everyday). But the main reason I bought the iPhone is because the cheap price offered by the owner.

To cut short, my experience with the iPhone did not do very well, maybe because I do not have anything to sync or share across Mac devices. I still use my Window desktop pc to write my thesis. Only in certain condition, I will use my MBA such as having to sit at a place away from office for a period more than 2 hours, for example, when servicing my car at the service center.

In the end, after few months using the iPhone, I sold it to a friend and I still gain a three figure profit. I still manage to experience the sync across Mac Devices but I do not use it much.

When I first bought my MBA, it was runnning on Maverick. During the time of purchase, Yosemite was already out but my device was not pre loaded with Yosemite yet, so after few months using Maverick and did some research on problems of Yosemite, I finally upgraded it myself dalam keadaan takut-takut. Takut MBA crash, and I was surprise the update went smooth, helped by fast 30Mbps Unifi connection. Then came El Capitan. This time, I upgraded straight away without any delay as I had experience a smooth Yosemite upgrade process.

Now, it's Sierra. Seems baru je guna El Capitan, dah sampai Sierra. This time I may take a long time to upgrade it as I found nothing wrong with El Capitan and also judging from sites I've read on the net, Sierra seems to be aiming for people who has multiple Apple devices. Anyway, I'll just wait and see, as long as it won't slow my MBA, I can consider in upgrading to Sierra but I think for the time being, I'll just wait.
